Dr. Mottla is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in operative and non-operative management of the upper extremity from the elbow to the fingertip. Prior to joining Mobility Bone & Joint Institute, he was an Associate Professor at the University of Massachusetts where he excelled in primary and revision procedures of the upper extremity with responsibilities including replantation and revascularization of traumatized hands.

Dr. Mottla is dedicated to providing the best possible patient care. He focuses on shared decision making with patients and strives to achieve each patient’s individual goals. Dr. Mottla is excited to live and work in Merrimack Valley alongside his wife and young family. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, skiing, cooking, and supporting New England sports teams.
