About Dr. Johnson
Dr. Philip Johnson is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon committed to providing top-notch care to the Merrimack Valley and southern New Hampshire communities. A native of Andover, MA, Dr. Johnson is dedicated to taking care of patients in the area he has always called home.
Dr. Johnson completed the complex spine surgery fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, where he gained specialized training in both minimally invasive and complex surgery to treat a wide range of challenging spinal pathologies. He utilizes techniques such as microscopic decompression, navigated screw placement, and 3D-printed implants to achieve precise, effective results.
With a patient-centered approach in mind, Dr. Johnson explores conservative treatments first, while reserving surgery only when necessary. He understands that each patient’s condition is unique, and works closely with them to develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with their needs and goals. Above all, Dr. Johnson treats every patient as he would a family member, fostering an environment of open communication and ensuring that each patient experiences a smooth, comfortable recovery.
